Welcome to PodcastSuck, a podcast about starting a podcast. Where we dive headfirst into the wild, wacky, and sometimes frustrating world of podcasting. Get ready for laps, insights, and a whole lot of what not to do advice as we embark on this podcasting journey together. Let's dive in. What's happening, friends? Welcome back to another episode of Podcast Suck. Today I want to talk to you about the one thing that you haven't tried that could change absolutely everything when it comes to your business, when it comes to marketing, when it comes to content, when it comes to showing up. Let me just let you in on the little secret right now that's not so much of a secret. Podcasting is the missing piece in your marketing puzzle. It's the one tool that builds trust, authority, and a pipeline while you sleep.
SPEAKER_00:Let me guess. You've tried it all. No, you haven't.
SPEAKER_01:Because if you had, you would have figured out something by now that works. So the next time you say I've tried it all, instead try saying I tried as much as I could, and then I quit. The problem is business owners are always in this try everything culture. And like the quote says, the misery loves company. When one business owner talks to another business owner about what's working or not working, when they hone in on what's not working, it feels so good and so comforting to continue to fuel that negative cesspool of information.
SPEAKER_00:What I'd like to encourage you to do instead, starting today, is start asking yourself, what else is possible? We know what hasn't worked. We know what we gave up on. What have we not tried? What have we been scared of getting started with? What have we been scared of reaching deep into our pockets and investing in what could work?
SPEAKER_01:Hiring an expert to come in and help you create a strategy, brand, concept, idea. Take all the heavy lifting off of your plate.
SPEAKER_00:Yes, this is a very subtle, subtle self-promo for the podcast launch lab. Hire an expert. Get it off your table.
SPEAKER_01:Let me help paint a vision for you, real quick, on what it looks like when your business actually starts a podcast. So right now, let's say your social media content game is terrible, non-existent. Starting a podcast allows you to number one, content piece number one, the podcast episode every week. Then from that podcast episode, micro content. Multiple pieces of micro content from one podcast episode that allows you to show up in the news feed, which by the way, is where the eyeballs are at.
SPEAKER_00:We're living in a world that's overmarketed and underconnected.
SPEAKER_01:Everyone is screaming for attention, but almost nobody's building relationships. If you're listening to this right now and you're an entrepreneur, you've probably felt this pain. That constant hamster wheel of, I need to post something today, or I should run another campaign, or maybe I'll buy this next course for$97 and do nothing with it. And yet your business feels flat. The engagement's there, but the connection, non-existent. You've got visibility, but no intimacy.
SPEAKER_00:That's the gap. You're talking at people, not with people.
SPEAKER_01:Big difference. Understand that distinction. Talking at people versus talking with them. When that happens, your message gets drowned out in the noise.
SPEAKER_00:Not because it isn't valuable, but because it isn't personal. So I'm gonna help you flip the script script today, all right?
SPEAKER_01:Imagine this. You launch a podcast. Every week, your audience, your dream clients, tune in while they're driving, walking, cooking, working out, whatever. You're literally in their ears. They're hearing your tone, your story, your values. You're no longer some random name on LinkedIn. You're a voice they trust.
SPEAKER_00:And before you ever make a pitch, they've already decided this person gets it. That's the magic of a podcast. It's the slow burn of trust. But it scales. When you sleep, your episodes keep working.
SPEAKER_01:When you travel, they keep connecting. Each conversation becomes content. Each story becomes a sales asset. And here's the best part you're not shouting at the world. You're building your own community of people who actually want to hear from you. And that, my friends, is when everything changes. Now, before you tell me, but but Sebastian, I don't have a professional mic or I I hate the sound of my own voice. Let's just stop right there. No one, and I do mean no one, myself included, starts perfect. But here's the good news. You don't need some fancy studio, you don't need a high-end team of editors in-house. You don't even need thousands of listeners or fancy equipment. You need one thing: momentum.
SPEAKER_00:Because perfection is just procrastination in disguise. My good friend Brandon Brinningham, valued client.
SPEAKER_01:The show's exploded. Go check out check it out. It's called Wake Up to Wealth. Top four podcasts out there on Apple under investing in real estate and business. 90,000 downloads an episode, five-figure sponsorship dollars coming in. This is what's possible. And he didn't need to start a podcast. But in one of his talks, I heard him say that procrastination is a form of depression.
SPEAKER_00:Whoa. Let that sink in.
SPEAKER_01:See, the thing about podcasting is it's not just about content, it's about credibility.
SPEAKER_00:When someone hears that you host a show, subconsciously, they position you as a thought leader.
SPEAKER_01:You become the authority in your space, in their mind, which is all that matters. Not because you said you were, but because you showed up consistently and you shared value. And when that happens, everything changes. Your audience grows, your sales pipeline grows, opportunities start showing up all from your voice.
SPEAKER_00:So let me ask you something.
SPEAKER_01:What if your voice became the most powerful marketing tool that you had? What if you could wake up to DMs and say, hey, I just listened to your most recent episode and I feel like you were talking directly to me? That's the stuff that builds brands that last. Now listen, you don't have to figure this out alone. That's why I created the podcast Launch Lab, which allows us to take you from ID at iTunes in 90 days or less and do all the heavy lifting and work for you. You record the episodes, we take care of the rest from there. We help you create the entire strategy, brand, idea, concept, who you're talking to, what you're talking about, how you're talking about it, everything. If that resonates with you, you're like, I didn't even know this existed. Click the link in the show notes, book a call with me. Yes, it will be with me. We'll spend 15 or 20 minutes to see if you're a fit and chat about what's possible. That's all I'm gonna do for shameless self-promotion, because this is my podcast, damn it, and I'm gonna promote whatever I want. But it fits within exactly what we're talking about. Because a lot of you may be tuning in and you didn't even know a solution like ours exists. If you're exploring what's possible, maybe you tune in, maybe you're a hobby podcaster. I don't know. I'm just glad you're here. If you're just scratching the surface trying to figure out what's next for you, read my book. Shoot me a DM on Instagram at podcastsuck, same as the name of the show. Say I listen to this episode. You said you'd send me a copy, free audible copy of Podcast Suck, which is all of my air quote secrets.
SPEAKER_00:You don't need perfect audio. You don't need a massive following. You just need to start. Because that one thing that you haven't tried could change everything.
SPEAKER_01:May this episode be the sign you've been looking for. The very fact that you press play on this episode is reason in and of itself for you to really aggressively explore and take massive action towards starting a podcast for your business. Because I myself am living proof that starting a podcast will in fact radically change your life and your business if you let it be.
