Welcome back to another episode of Podcast Suck. Thanks for taking some time out of your busy day to hang out with me for just a couple minutes to better understand what you don't know that you don't know about the world of podcasting. It means a lot to me. You could be doing other things, but you chose to press play. And well, I really do appreciate it. Let's jump in here today. I want to talk to you about why cold outreach, reaching out to people to talk to them about what you do or what problems you solve, why cold outreach is broken and how to fix it. I want you to be able to stop chasing people with DMS and start attracting them with your voice. And that's what we're going to unpack on today's episode. So Cold DMs, cold calls, cold emails. They all have one thing in common. They're cold. You know what else? They rarely work. Because no one, and I do mean no one, likes You can send a hundred DMS a day, right? Perfect email copy or hire the best closer on the planet. But if your audience doesn't know you, they And if they don't trust you, they don't buy. Let's be transparent for a moment. Cold outreach is broken. It's outdated. It's pushy. It's a bad first impression with a side of desperation, but there is a smarter way to get people's attention and has nothing to do with begging for it. Here's entrepreneurs chasing strangers, like they're trying to win a date that they'd never asked for. The DMS go unanswered emails disappear into inbox purgatory. You spend hours crafting clever messages just to get ghosted by maybe It's quite exhausting mentally, emotionally, financially, and the worst part, You're forcing people to care before you've even earned the right to. That's the problem with cold outreach. It assumes connection that doesn't even exist yet. At least people don't want to be sold to. They want to feel seen. Now You're not sliding into inboxes. You're showing up in people's ears. You're building trust on autopilot through They hear your voice. They learn from you. They start to like you before you ever send a message. They already know who you are. Podcasting flips the entire script. You're not chasing, you're attracting. You're not interrupting their day, you're invited into it. Huge distinction there. It's the difference between knocking on someone's door unannounced and being invited inside for coffee. One builds tension, the other builds trust. And when trust comes first, the sale becomes a conversation, not a chase to the difference. Friends. I've seen this play out over and over and over and over again in both my life and the lives of our clients. One of my clients launched a podcast, invited potential guests, clients as guests. And within 90 days, they had a full sales calendar, They didn't pitch, they just had conversations. Because here's the thing, people want to be around voices that inspire them, that teach them, teach them, and make them feel understood. Your podcast is your permission slip to connect with people before So when people come to you saying, Hey, I listened to your show, that's trust marketing and trust beats tactics every single So if your inbox looks like a graveyard of maybe laters, stop chasing, start building. Podcasting isn't just another tool. It is the tool. It positions you as the authority. It attracts warm leads. It gives you leverage with no ad campaign can do anywhere. And I need to get in the podcasting game. I've been thinking about it, sleeping on it, considering it, writing it down, came up with some ideas, but you just don't know how to get there. And you want to, you want to get started and you want to have all of the heavy lifting taken off of your plate. Use the link in the show notes. That's the description of this podcast episode.
