If you've ever sat down with a microphone, hit record, and thought, what on earth am I doing? Or if you're just curious about the magic behind your favorite shows, then you're in the right place. Get ready for laughs, insights, and a whole lot of what not to do advice as we embark on this podcasting journey together. Let's dive in. What's happening, everybody? Welcome back to another episode, or maybe it's your first episode. I'm just glad you're here. Thanks for taking some time out of your day to hang out with me for just a couple of minutes. I really hope you're going to leave this episode with at least one or two things that you showed up for. Let me hit you with some truth real quick. If you are still sending cold DMs, lukewarm follow-ups, God forbid, those cringy, just checking in emails, please stop. You know why? Because nobody, and I do mean nobody, is biting. Nobody's impressed. And They can smell the pitch a mile away. But here's the kicker. There's a better play. A It gets meetings booked. It gets people thanking you for reaching out. And quick spoiler alert, it's not another LinkedIn automation tool. Yes, we're onto those now It, my friends, is a podcast. Now let's talk about the problem with cold outreach For starters, cold outreach is broken. Let's just think about it for a second here. How many of those copy and paste LinkedIn messages do you ignore every week? I ignore probably five to 10 a day. Hey, came across your profile. Love what you're doing. Let's connect, delete, or emails that end with just circling back. Oh, here's the thing. People don't want to be pitched. You don't want to be pitched. I don't want to be pitched. No one wants to be pitched. They want to be seen. They want to be heard. They want to connect with actual humans and cold outreach. Well, it does the opposite. It screams, I need something from you. Let me introduce you to the podcast invite strategy. So what's the play? Invite them to be on your The end. You're not pitching them. You're positioning yourself as a connector, as a host, as an authority. That's a whole completely different vibe. Suddenly your email isn't just another ask. It's an opportunity. Instead of saying, can we hop on a call? You're saying, I'd love to feature you on my show. Who says no to that? Almost And if they do, they're probably not your people anyway. You're not wasting their time. You're giving them a platform. And After the conversation, after they've shared their story, and after you've built that relationship, the door is now wide open. Now your followup is simple. Hey Bob, really enjoyed our conversation. I want to explore how we might be able to work together. Boom. Relationship first, revenue second. That my friends is the win-win. And guess what? They don't feel sleazy. They It feels natural because it is. When things are natural, well, it just makes things a little bit easier across the board. Here's I've literally seen people land five figure clients off a single podcast interview, not because they pitched during the show, but because they built a relationship through the show. Even if the guest never becomes a client, you've now got a valuable relationship. Someone who could refer business, share your show, or connect with you on other opportunities. It's a ripple effect, the So let's land the plane here. Cold outreach is tired. Stop chasing, start The best podcasting tool you're not using is your podcast. Stop sending cold DMS. Stop sending guest invites. Excuse me. Start sending guest invites. You'll thank me later. Let me say that again. Stop sending cold DMS. Start sending guest invites. You will thank me later.
