Speaker 1:

Welcome to Podcast Suck. A podcast about starting a podcast where we dive headfirst into the wild, wacky and sometimes frustrating world of podcasting. If you've ever sat down with a microphone hit record and thought what on earth am I doing? Or if you're just curious about the magic behind your favorite shows, then you're in the right place. Get ready for laughs, insights and a whole lot of what not to do advice as we embark on this podcasting journey together. Let's dive in. If you think your podcast is just a place to share value, you are leaving money on the table. The truth is, most business owners treat their podcasts like it's a TED talk, but the ones who win, they, treat it like a sales machine. Today, I'm going to show you how to make every single episode do the heavy lifting so you can stop chasing leads and start converting them. Let's dive in. Let's dive in.

Speaker 1:

Your podcast isn't just content, it's strategy. Every episode equals a touchpoint that should build trust, warm up cold leads and answer objections that haven't even been told to you yet. It's not fluff. It's your pre-sales process on autopilot. Let's talk about warming leads up for a minute. Anybody have any cold leads in their pipeline? Raise your hand, unless you're driving. When you warm up leads with your podcast, listeners get to know you, they trust you and they like you before you even pitch Objection handling. Ever been up against that before? I think we all have and will continue to be.

Speaker 1:

What you can do is use solo episodes, just like the one you're listening to right now, to bust myths, debunk common fears and share results. I love this one. So important in this day and age, with so much noise happening online Social proof, interview past clients or share behind-the wins, subtly, without selling or pitching anybody. Imagine that you can have a call to action placement within each episode. That's very non-abrasive. I'm very non-salesy. For example, don't just check out the website. Invite them to take the next step, to take massive action to actually do something. Solo thought leadership you can break down a pain point that you know your clients have on each episode that you're recording these solo episodes. Solo thought leadership Breaking down a big pain point your clients have and that you know that they have have and that you know that they have. You can showcase your clients and give an actual, real-time case study by interviewing them. Show the transformation, tell the story, interview them, talk about what actually happened Behind the scenes. Everybody likes a peek behind the curtain, especially when they're interested and they follow your brand. They're engaged with your brand. Let them hear how you solve problems in real time. This is one of my favorites, because I do it a lot on this show Mini trainings, five to 10 minute solutions that show your expertise and lead to your offer.

Speaker 1:

Today, I'm teaching you how to warm up leads, leverage your podcast to work for you, not just with you. Then I'm going to give you the opportunity to book a call with me If you still have been on the fence and haven't taken action to start a podcast to radically change your life and your business. These mini trainings, five to 10 minute solutions that showcase your expertise and lead to your offer. These allow you to do something first for the prospect, do something first for the listener and then ask for something. See how that works.

Speaker 1:

Here's the ROI of podcasting as a sales tool. First of all, you do not need a hundred thousand downloads. You need the right 10 people to hear the right message and take action. That's what you do need. You understand the difference. I saw a meme last week of it was a group. It was a picture of a group of 50 people and the caption said my post was only seen by 50 people. My post was only seen by 50 people and the caption of the photo says this is a photo of 50 people A lot of people seeing your post. If it was a billboard or an advertisement in person and 50 people saw that, that was 50 pairs of eyeballs on your message. With a podcast, you don't need big numbers, you need the right numbers. You need the right 10 people to hear the right message and take action. I've had clients go from listener to customer without ever booking a sales call because the podcast did the work.

Speaker 1:

I remember a couple of years ago I got done interviewing a friend of mine, slash prospect. She knew she wanted to start a podcast. She knew she was going to hire me to do it. We met at an event in Las Vegas. We get done with the interview. She went from saying yes, I need a couple of months to tell me more about this. And when I told her more about this she said perfect, send me everything over, let's get started. And I didn't even tell her how much it was and I said so, do you want to know how much it was or is? She said sure, entertain me. She didn't even care how much it was, I had provided enough value.

Speaker 1:

I met her in an event. We met at a group dinner at an event in Las Vegas. We hit it off. We built rapport. I met her husband. We spent the whole weekend together with everyone at the event. We watched the Super Bowl together. We stayed in touch. We were part of the same mastermind group. I invited her to be on my podcast. She followed up with me to be on my podcast.

Speaker 1:

Listen, when you invite a prospect to be on your podcast and you don't book them right away for whatever reason which should never happen and they follow up with you, unless you hate money, get them booked as soon as possible. This has happened numerous times, not where they don't ask how much it is, but it's so. I don't think we give enough credit to people and how successful they really are, because there's a lot of money out there and you really don't know how successful someone is until they tell you or you see their work or whatever it may be. So don't just assume. They may or may not be able to afford what I do. They may not care how much it costs. Sit with that for a minute.

Speaker 1:

Let's quickly recap. Your podcast is a pipeline, a relationship builder, a deal closer. You need to ask yourself a question If your podcast isn't closing deals yet, why not? And, of course, I'd be grossly negligent to not tell you that if you want help turning your podcast into a client-generating machine, we should schedule a time to chat sooner rather than later. There's a link directly to my calendar in the show notes podcastlaunchlabcom or podcastlaunchlabcom. Click schedule a call. It goes right to my calendar. Yes, it's me. We'll spend 15 minutes talking about what's possible Questions, thoughts, ideas, feedback, suggestions.

Speaker 1:

Please send me a DM over on Instagram at podcast suck. That's podcast two S's, just like the show name. Let me know you listened to this episode and whatever questions you have, I'm here to serve you. We may do business together, we may not. I don't care either way, because I only care about one thing that you aggressively run in the direction of the goals that you're aligned with and you do what you know that you should be doing. If starting a podcast is part of that, do it. Your life will be radically changed, your business will be radically changed and the people that you get to interact with because you had them on your podcast will be impacted for the better. How do I know? Because I've been living this truth for the past decade and I don't see any plans of slowing down or stopping, because it works. Seeing people radically change their life and their business because they started a podcast will never get old.

Speaker 1:
